It had been a great day for me....Woke up at 8am,preparing for outing v fren n her children... Sitting inside her new Vios,listening to fav songs n reading self-enrichment book were really great ways to start a brand new day...Was amazed by the gathering of kingfishers in the middle of the sea...I guess tat signified a sunny n bright day...:)
Our first destination is War Museum in Batu Maung.The entrance fee is kinda expensive but worthwhile.RM15 for per adult n RM7.50 per child.hmmm...we went to an exhibition room firstly.her children dared not stepping inside as they were too overwhelmed by fright...so i went inside v her only,leaving them waiting outside..the was a secret tunnel inside,i went inside v a bunch of school gals(i guess they were hving historical excursion there.)..i guided them inside the tunnel as i brought my torchlight.it was exciting n fun as we didnt know wat was ahead of us..heard tat there might be bats "landing" on ur heads if u r "lucky"..haha...but it was a totally safe journey..none of us got hurt or "stepped" by bats...:)..we continued our visit after getting out of the tunnel..there were photos,boots n other stuff being exhibited there..act,there was another smaller tunnel tat i didnt venture inside as i wore skirt today...haha..scareless me rite(heard tat there might be centipedes,wildcats,snakes,spiders n other small creatures appeared uninvitedly...haha..)...i heard the gals said that they shd wear skirt instead of wearing jeans as the weather was kinda hot...we were sweating profusely after venturing into the secret tunnel...
After finished browsing thru tat spot,we continued our journey.We climbed up a stair...finding out another huge part of the routes..we saw a cannon spot without cannons.....=.=....was kinda weird..maybe they were being removed to Fort Wellesly...=.=...there was spot where the British spied on and shot their enemies which came to Penang thru water pathway...we kept on walking til reached the place which was designed like a battle field...we were trying to venture into tat place but were scared away by a black dog..after tat,we realized tat it was act a spot for paintball...=.="...we saw lotsa bullet traces all over the walls...our attention was captured by torture room.we saw a few photos where the victims of Jap were being tortured inhumanely. :(...we were startled as we could see the penentrations on their bodies...the tools which were used to torture them also being exhibited there..although they were already rusty,their cruelty to human beings couldnt be forgotten for the rest of their lives...
There was a room which was quite eerie...it was served as a place where criminals were sentenced to death by hanging...we were pretty frightened by the design inside tat particular room...as there was really sth "white thing ""hung"up inside the room...kinda spooky..even when I am writing abt it rite now...Another thing tat got me hooked on was the rooms which were used as kitchens,dispensary and medical rooms.there was a artificial nurse inside which shocked us...haha...we supposed tat place shd be "uninhabited"...:p...the children were scared to stiff by a fake human who was "fastened" n burnt....it was another merciless punishment conducted by Jap...haiz...we ended up the trip by buying some souvenirs frm the shop...I boughta few bookmarks n postcards...It was indeed a great historical trip...we were like travelling into the past thru time machine....kinda cognitive for us...
Next,we visited Batu Maung Aquarium.It was my first time to visit pg's aquarium..haha..kinda embarassed...:p...but it was really cool n exciting...we saw alot of fishes..including Nemo the Clownfish and starfish...hehe.my fav fishes ..ever thought of keeping both as my pets...:p...but couldnt find any so far...:(....the fishes were colourful n mysterious...there was a type of fish which has teeth which resembles baby's teeth inside its mouth...was amazed...haha...it was like trying to "chat" v us when we got closed to it...hehe...really unique...sea urchins were another attraction to us...they were black in colour v one "fake" eye n some blue spots on their bodies.....not sure wat were them...it was kinda pitiful to see most of the anemones ad died inside the aquarium...haiz...too bad...turtles were really cuteeeeeeee...hehe...we "belanja" them makan...they were scrambling for limited food...hehe..n one thing tat surprised us was we found out the reason y tortoises won in the race between rabbit n tortoise...coz for the first time I saw one of the turtles "sped" over "normal" limit today...haha...it "ran" rounding the container with high speed n splashed out water on us...haha...it was amazing...after tat,we ended up our trip to aquarium as our stomaches went out on "strikes"...haha..
We went to Gurney Plaza to "cure" our stomaches...:p...we were keeping in shilly-shally on deciding which restaurant to hv our lunch..finally we decided to hv our meal in Ipoh Street cafe..haiz..it was a disappointing meal as the food tat we ate werent the same in the huge photos they were hanging in their cafe...haiz....too bad...we juz roughly had our lunch n continued our next important destination..haha...
We went to Popular bookstore n were hanging out there for almost 3 hrs...haha...I bought a cd which entitled You're Beautiful...it was act a great deal as I got 2 cds v 1 price...hehe...i m currently listening to the album while updating my blog...hehe...nice songs...hmm..besides tat,I also bought a book on travelling...hehe...I m planning to backpack travel someday...so I hv to be more well-prepared now...hehe...act,I also wanted to buy books which entitled Can You Keep A Secret? frm the Shopaholics series...but my budget didnt allow me to do so...haiz...the popular fair downstairs didnt reach my expectation though...so didnt buy any books there...haiz...but overall,I was satisfied by my gain...hehe...:p
We went back to bm afterwards...I fell asleep in the car..it was indeed a tiring n yet exciting day for me...totally different frm the days of hving tuitions n classes...feeling my mind was freed frm stress n problem...hehe...
After reaching bm,we had our dinner at the "alfresco area" which was a stone throw frm my house...the food there was really delicious...x100 much better than the one we had this afternoon..n definitely much cheaper....we had satay,"ikan panggang",laksa,mihun goreng,yam cake,"chai kuey",hokkien mee,kuey kak,.....haha...(Warning:dont drool in front of ur pc when u read this part....I wont be responsible for tat...:p)
After reaching home,I juz took a bath n started writing my blog...haha...finally finished updating liao...post ur comments freely...*wink*..ur comments will be welcomed gladly...:)
